Owen Schwartzbard grew up in the bayous and suburbs of Houston, Texas. In an attempt to turn the family video camera around on his parents, he discovered the potential of telling stories through film and began creating short videos. His continuing interest in filmmaking moved him to California, where he studied Directing at Chapman University.

Over the course of his studies, Owen directed multiple short films including "The Red Envelope," shot on location at Hengdian World Studios in Hengdian, China. His Undergraduate Thesis Film, "The Bluff," has been accepted to multiple film festivals internationally.

He currently lives in Los Angeles.
