Owen Schwartzbard grew up making films in the bayous and suburbs of Houston, Texas. His continuing interest in filmmaking led him to study Directing at Chapman University. During his time at Chapman, Owen directed multiple short films including "The Red Envelope," shot on location at Hengdian World Studios in Hengdian, China, serving as a collaboration between American and Chinese students and professionals. "The Bluff," Owen's Undergraduate Thesis Film, has been accepted to multiple film festivals internationally, some of which are academy accredited. He currently lives in Los Angeles, working as a director for music video and commercial content.
Though the content of his work varies, Owen's interest lies in communicating a character-driven story with authentic, complex emotional struggles.
